My objective is to obtain a position in a Clinical Research Organization/Research lab wherein I can take decisions and be a part of the team contributing toward human health and welfare. I am a Post graduate who combined studies with working and other commitments. I possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and am able to relate to a wide range of people, as proven by my varied work experiences.
Career history
September 2014-January 2016, Team leader-Research Lab, Jehangir Clinical Development Centre Pvt. Ltd., Pune, India: I was working on a project that is based on Oncogenetics-studying the toxicity and effect of drugs, wherein my job responsibilities included reviewing of clinical research studies, planning and organizing data, reviewing SOP’s, and preparing a concrete plan for any clinical study/ trial including planning, standardization and validation of the protocols and lab activities. Submitting scientific reports and results to the committee. I have recently planned and arranged for the Pharmacogenomics /Kinetics project as per the oncology guidelines and NABL. I also played a role for achieving accreditation and following all the regulatory practices. Majorly looking after the Molecular Biology lab, which deals with Real-time PCR, gene expression and Pharmacogenomics.
December 2013-May 2014, Junior Scientist, Datar Genetics Ltd, Nashik: I was involved as a Project leader of Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) group, which dealt with standardization of the detection of the Blood borne viruses by Real-time PCR, strategy protocol for validation of the assays used. I was also involved in the SNP detection by Capillary electrophoresis. I was working on the SeQscape software for detection of mutations and SNP site changes for various panels.
October 2009-September 2013, Research Assistant, National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune, India: I was actively involved the investigation, research and diagnostics of Pandemic H1N1 2009 outbreak in Pune. I was working on an Indo -US project “Multi-site Epidemiological and Virological Monitoring of Human Influenza in India phase-II” at WHO designated National Influenza Centre, NIV, India. My work profile was including Molecular biology techniques followed by Classical virology techniques. I was also involved in the standardization of Allelic Discrimination assay.
Teaching/Training experience
I was involved in training the M.Sc. project students in the thesis work and practical/experiments. I was also involved in the development of the VIRUS LIMS software for data validation and input along with the Persistent team.
Volunteer work experience
I am also volunteering for an NGO called AKANKSHA, which deals with the free education for the below poverty line kids. I usually go and teach the small kids whenever I am free from my work. I feel that this could be a small contribution from my side towards the society.

Participated in workshop on Geographical Information System & Remote Sensing-Organized by Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Pune. Attended a Seminar sponsored by University of Pune on Impact of Urbanization on Biodiversity. Participated as a Volunteer in the International Coastal Cleanup Campaign, organized by The Ocean Conservancy, Washington D.C.
